I'm looking for opinions/experience with bioreactors like bashsea's? I know k1 media is excellent for denitrification, but wouldn't it create a ton of nitrate ?

No worries. The reactor cannot create any more nitrate than the bio load generates. That is to say, feeding and livestock discharges eventually break down with nitrate being the end product. The Bashsea reactor just smooths out spikes from dying organisms and overfeeding. I believe the reactor can reduce the need for as much live rock as would otherwise be needed.

This being said, we can use less live rock with this reactor, and create a more minimal aquascape?
