Bashsea Smart Series 48x18x16 Sump - BLUE

The user ability of a sump is the most important, and sometimes we do not know that until we get it home and then see how it will work on our system. Bashea I find have a odd inlet were the socks go, if that is what you like then yeah go for it, also I have found that their return area for the pump is small in some cases, so another thing to look at.

There are lots of good sump builders and there should be one perfect for you.

I'm also looking at 48" sumps for my 200 gallon setup. I've been in the trenches for the last 2 days.

I like what I see with the Fiji 44 but it's out of stock, the sapphire trigger is a good sump as well. I'm just caught up on if I want a filter roller and want to do the platinum or a geo or a synergy to accommodate a roller.

I have purchased the Fiji 44" sump for my new on pallet 225 gallon tank, so I do not think the Fiji would be good if you are doing a filter roller unless it is the kind that goes in the filter sock holders.

Absolutely love my Bashsea smart sump. So much nicer than trigger in my experience.

Does anyone know how good or reliable is this sump/refug?

Bashsea is top of the line when it comes to equipment, trigger and synergy are good buy bashsea is even better. I had Bashsea build me at custom 72” sump and it’s beautiful.

Yup, I realized that a filter roller wouldn't work with it. At that price point if you're only doing socks I think it (on paper) is one of the best options due to the features and cost.

I was going to use pads or the Di-7 drop roller filter on my Fiji sump.

Mine fits like a glove into the WATERBOX 4820 stand .
