Any update on the noise of this sump? I’m interested in purchasing one since they’re on sale however if they’re loud I’d rather not.

Thank you all! I was considering this sump, now I am not. I realize that the build quality is excellent and it is overall a good sump but the comments about the sock holders have sealed the deal. I'm either getting the emerald 26 or ponying up the money for the tideline 30!

Not sure why I didn't get notifications on these post, so I apologize for the late response.
As for noise it is not loud by any means. All I can hear is the skimmer pump.
I primarily do not run filter socks on this tank. I do run them when I am working on the tank though and it can be a bit or a pain to change them out.

I had Steve build a 30×15 reversed for my reefer 450. Zero noise once your flow is tuned. I occasionally run socks, but not often & I don't think they are terrible to get in and out. Love the flexibility and the return chamber fits the varios 6 without a problem.

My cor-20 fits fine in mine as well. Only regret I have with the sump, is that I should of gone for the next size up.

It’s not bad.
The sump has a lot of space and it’s laid out well. You can’t use the full space of the Refugium because if you put the baffle all the way up it sounds like a waterfall but aside from that I’ve had no issues.

I have the same sump but the skimmer and fuge are swapped, curious on why you did that?It’s not bad.

He might be running it as the Triton method which Fuge comes before the Skimmer

ah very true. I never really understood the full concept of the Trident method. Lots of dosing and testing to make sure everything remains perfect and helps reduce water changes and what not right?
