Basic LED light

I bought a Current LED light to get my feet wet in the reef experience and grow some soft corals. I took off the basic LED light that came with my tank and the few soft corals I have tried have been doing well. I see the base led light in my cabinet and was wondering if it would add anything to the corals I have if I also installed and turned it on? Will the extra light boost any benefit for the corals or would the extra light just grow algae?

Depends on a lot of factors. Can you tell us some basics like how big your tank is, what model the Current and included LED's are, and what you're trying to keep.

I have a 75 gallon tank with a Current Marine Orbit IC LED light. It is the 48-60 inch length so it covers the length of the tank. I am planning on growing softies, mushrooms and a few low/moderate light LPS. Perhaps try a couple SPS as high as I can place them if all goes well. I will consider upgrading lights later this year if I enjoy and stick with this hobby.

If this is a standard 75 then that isn't going to be enough light for SPS or most LPS. Softies may be ok near the middle top, but the bottom is probably a no-go.

AI just came out with the Blade's and the 48", with yours for supplemental, would do everything you want.
