Why is it that no brand makes a more affordable model of there fixture that has no controls on it and is compatible with the apex or any controller.
Give me something simple and affordable! I don't want WIFI, and I don't want another app on my phone that only controls one part of my system.
I guess what I'm saying is that my dream LED fixture would be something very similar to the new Orphek Atlantik v4 gen 2, but without the WIFI, the app, and any controlls on the fixture. just bare bones and ready to connect to the apex.
I'm also not suggesting they get rid of those options all together, but saying that manufacturers should consider something like the following.
Atlantik basic- no wifi, no connectivity with the app, requires a controller with variable output, etc. $cheap
Atlantik - no wifi, no connectivity with the app, on board programming. no controller required. $middle of the road
Atlantik Pro- WIFI, App, on board programming, no controller required, bells, whistles. $900 ea.
Anyone else feel this way? like we not getting what we really want because this hobby is running away from us with overpriced tech. When all we really want is decent equipment from good manufacturers that allows us to build a system that is as ergonomic and streamlined as possible.
