I’ve seen people set up their tanks in so many different ways, how do you set up yours? Do you have all the newest stuff? Or do you not even own a test kit? I have a friend who has a very successful tank and he doesn’t even own a test kit. Do you break the rules and not follow the norms?

A lot about setting up tank is person preference. Some people like brand new equipment and some people don’t mind used equipment.
There’s a lot of people who don’t use any test kits and stick to a water change routine. Some people use there corals as a sign of something wrong with the tank.

That's called old school!

Can be done. It's a little risky.

I personally don’t test much maybe once a month, i just stick to my water changes.
