How do I know if my lantern basslet is stressed or not. He’s was my first fish and when he was only in there he would go everywhere around the tank. And now he stays in the front of the tank and swims around the rocks there and barely swims anywhere else, it’s not like he swimming erratically or anything, but I’m still worried. And I’m an idiot and bought a dilectous dottyback. Now they wouldn’t fight but they are stand offish, his eating habits also never changed he eats great, so the dottyback isn’t affecting his eating but I don’t want him to be terrified or something. I thought maybe that could be the reason, he’s scared of the other fish, so the next week I got a couple of damsels and a rusty Angel, and now the angel is like the boss in the tank, he doesn’t get bothered at all and he stays in his own space. If he is scared, should I just make a hiding spot in that area for him.

It will take time to adjust to new fish. Still recommend removing the dotty back.
