This was my aspiration fish 50 years ago when I had my first tank. Never had a big enough tank. Does anyone keep this fish these days?

My LFS has had one for about 3 months now, so at least in my area no.

Yeah, I used to see them fiarly frequently 30-40 years ago also. I lost interest when I learned they get over a foot in diameter and loose their fins, adults look very different from juveniles.

Similar situation to a chevron tang. They look amazing and juvinals but end up looking pretty blah later. Plus Batfish get HUUUGE and ugly.

If you dont have a 400g + tank why waste the space?

I had no idea that they changed so much. Best left in the ocean but they look awesome as juvies.
