( Anything Gas Powered Like A Generator Is NOT A Option Where I Live Unfortunately )

Ok so since I have set up my first Saltwater Tank ( 9 Months Ago ) I have Been looking for a way to power a 150-200 watt Aquarium heater and small air pump to keep my fish safe during loss of POWER! I am looking for something that is able to run these two pieces of equipment for at least 4-5hrs if need be.

I have seen things that are meant to back up a PC in the event of a power loss which allows you to save your work and properly shut your computer down with promises of a 7 minute back up time. This is where I am lost, A PC I would imagine is very high in Wattage and it claims 7 minutes of run time well if I were to plug a Aquarium Heater N small air pump into this unit how long would it back that up for. I can not figure out a way to covert the difference here. Also is it a 7 minute runtime regardless of watts like does the unit run for 7 minutes and shut down or does it run until it's out of juice?

I recently came across ECOTECH MARINE VORTECH BATTERY BACK UP but quickly I came to a conclusion ( Could be wrong but unsure ) that it is for there VORTECH WATER PUMP and it looks like there is a special adapter to run the unit, No visible sign of a regular 3 prong Outlet and didn't see a mention of it on any sites that sell it [emoji53]

So many questions and can NOT seem to find any answers so I am calling out to my fellow R2R'ers

Please Help!!!!

I believe the PC back ups will work longer the that. I think i saw someone that said it ran there for a few hours. I believe it was main pump and heater.

They are not 7 min flat runtime and even that is an estimate based on the amount of watts an average computer uses.
I forget the way to figure it out, but it is the amount of watts used by the equipment.
A heater can be 150 watts or 400 watts.
Also the Echotech is designed to run their pumps.
I believe Jabeo makes one for their pumps to.

I'm currently running a PC backup (APC 1500) on my 75 gallon reef. This backup will power the entire setup for about 20 minutes in the event of an outage. This doesn't seem long, but we don't see many outages in Southern California. In addition, I've programmed my Apex to turn all unnecessary items off during a power outage extending the backup to about 90 minutes.

There is a battery backup option through APC which will allow you to purchase additional power packs to build a sort of battery array, this is my ultimate goal when I have the funds. It is most definitely possible to run a reef off battery power, you just need the right equipment...
