Hey everyone so im just wondering if anyone has found a battery operated wave maker for surface agitation

Something that you can change out the batterys when they go flat
Just a cheapy option for QT tank or even the main display in short power outage

There are a variety of battery or solar-powered DC pumps sold for marine and pond uses. I am not aware of any that are wave maker or flow pumps. You could modify one like used to be done with maxi jet pumps. Use quick-disconnect connectors on so you can easily swap batteries.
You can also use a Computer UPS. I modify mine so they run my Tunze DC pumps directly in a power outage. This extends how long the work for significantly by not having to convert the DC to AC and then the pump controller converting it back to DC again.

Tunze has a 12 v cable option that u can connect to a cimputer UPS size battery or larger. U can add a small trickle charger to keep the battery full. Vortechs have a battery backup option as well and many DIYd battery packs to use as well.

If aeration during a blackout is your goal, an air stone is about 7 times more energy efficient than a wavemaker.

Thanks, just looking for surface agitation during blackouts, will definitely look into the suggestions

Thanks everyone
