wanted to k ow if anyone could help me decide on witch battery back up I should buy , I'm starting to stress out on a power outage and I would hate to loose everything when I could spend a few hundred and save it , so if anyone could help please let me k ow what you think or witch ups system do you use ,

It's important to understand that most backups aren't intended to be ran over an extended period of time. They are primarily used to keep equipment running for a short period of time during power interruptions. I'm running an APC on my tank. My return pump and heater are connected to the dedicated battery backup. What's going on to really matter is how much equipment you have to run and how much power each piece requires. A battery backup could last you a few hours or a few minutes.

If you have dc powerheads it would help immensely. A dc pump on a dc backup pack could last for more than 10-20 hours depending on the pump and backup pump... The heater might or might not be essential depending on where your tank is located...
