Hey guys so I’m looking to get a battery back up to run one of my return pumps. It’s a small pump the Accela 266gph pump that comes with the jbj 45g rimless. I was thinking running one of the two returns would be better then running a circulation pump because it would supply oxygen by circulating the water and also give me some filtration. So I’ve been looking into battery back ups off amazon and found one that was 800VA 450w. I’m not sure what this means and would just like to know how long it would run this pump. The specifications on the pump say 110-120V/60Hz again not sure what this means. If someone could tell me the amount of power I need to run this pump for 2-3 days I would appreciate it.

110-120v/60HZ is the power that comes out of your standard US wall outlet.
800VA 450W says it has a 800 volt battery and 800 watt capacity. I’m not familiar with your pump but for a UPS option like your looking at will not power anything for 2 or 3 days. It’s best to get yourself a gas generator. For a tank your size I would guess a small 2500 watt one would be just fine and would run your entire system. I would recommend getting the largest one you can afford this way you can also power some bare essentials in your home as well like your refrigerator, a light or two, internet modem, etc.
