Hey,

So i am currently setting up a Reefer XL 525 (build series to follow) and have a question about the apex and battery backups. I have two MP40's with the battery backups. I have them hooked into my Neptune Apex system as well. This might be a stupid question but when I turn the MP40's off on the apex, the battery backups kick in and turn them on at a thier slower speed. Is there a way to avoid this? like is there a time delay on the battery backups or something like that so that the MP40s wont run when the apex is off? Does anyone have experience with this?

Thanks!

nate, i don't have the experience you're asking for, however i do have MP40's and i've been meaning to buy battery back-ups.

it just occurred to me that that the slower speed may be intentional so that the back up batteries can run longer until normal power resumes. not sure if this helps partially answer your question.

respectfully,

This is exactly why this occurs. I think the solution will be complicated as the battery backups are designed to kick in the instant power is lost, and the Apex controls the pumps by turning off the receptacle on the energy bar that powers the pumps.

I assume you have the new Apex (i.e., not the Classic)?
