I have a eaton battery backup rated at 1000va and 600w. On the back it says it will run for 30 minutes at 150W. I’m wondering if this will be good enough since I’m guessing if I use less wattage it will run longer. According to apex this is what each one uses that I will plug in:
Return pump - 36W
Nero 3 - 3W
Nero 5 - 5W
I would like to run my heaters but they run at 417W so too much. Does anyone think this will work or should I build my own diy battery backup?

The heaters will be too much for battery backups. The other equipment sholud be fine.

Running just those three pumps with that battery back up you’ll probably get like 35 hours run time. I would guess, don’t hold me to it.
Thank you! Now just to figure out how to tell my apex if it looses power to only turn on certain outlets. I’m not good with programming so it’ll be fun lol

Sounds like fun, I’m not good with the programming. I’m planning on installing a new Apex A3 of next year. Good luck with the controller!
Same to you! It will be the best upgrade if you do it, love mine and have no complaints

For your heaters and any other outlet you want off use this:
IF POWER APEX OFF 000 THEN OFF

But, you need to run the 12v power supply into the base unit.

What do you mean run the 12v power supply into the base unit? I’m new to apex and don’t fully understand it yet

The head unit has a plug you can plug a cord into it. It's a 12 volt and that plugs into the wall outlet of your house. When the power goes out, apex knows and if you have your router on a backup, will send you a message of power failure.
So this line says: power failure, turn off the outlets.

Thank you so much, this helps a lot
