I’ve been looking at the $300 battlebox to transition my mixed reef to an SPS dominant one now that I have had some success keeping acropora. What was your personal experience working with Adam? What corals did you get? What was the general health of the corals and did color change much once you got them or stay the same? I know that certain Acropora are harder to keep colored up than others.

I've had nothing but a great experience dealing with Adam. I have ordered multiple battle boxes from him and have always been happy with what I got. As my tank started to become more full and I became more picky, I started to make custom orders just so I got exactly what I wanted. Frags do usually color down slightly after being cut but that is expected and they always color up in no time if your tank is doing well. The corals are always healthy but if by chance you get one that isn't, let him know and he will take care of you.

Honestly, Adam's amazing.

Check out his sponsor forum, and there's a whole thread dedicated just to battleboxes. Depending on what you want to spend, you can tell him you want few really chunky corals, or more corals and the frags are smaller. Also if there's one coral you REALLY want, Adam will work with you to make sure you get your "must have"

His SPS are in amazing health, and almost everyone says that corals have polyps out in the shipping bags! Mine did!

You will NOT be disappointed!

Ive ordered multiple times from Adam and have never really had any issues with the corals. Whether blind Battlebox, or requesting something specific the corals are gorgeous looking and you always get more than you pay for. Highly recommended.

Do you guys have any pictures of the corals you received? I’m moving in 2 months and am taking the opportunity to upgrade my system (slightly larger tank 29g to 33g, adding 20g sump with built in fuge, no new rock or sand though) so I should probably wait until that is done and stabilized again but I really don’t want to! I’m mostly worried about moving the sand and causing a cycle Haha

I have the same feedback as above. I ordered from him awhile back when he had a sale. The corals I got were all amazing! I ordered the box mid afternoon on a Friday expecting to wait until the next Friday for the shipment, I always do Saturday delivery. With Adam I didn't have to wait, he asked if he could ship it out the day I ordered and did just that!

I have some on my build thread - https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/devoted-reefer-250.263426/page-39

I have had great experiences with Adam and am currently on my 6 th battlebox. My heavily sps dominant mixed reef is made up almost exclusively of battlecorals.

Adam is a Rock Star! I'm getting my 2nd Battle Box this week, and can't wait to unpack it. My first one was outstanding and included Paletta Pink Tip, Upscales Microclades, Conveyor Belt of Fleshdunce Milli, ATL Shades of Fall, Fox Flame, Schizopolis Sunset, Northstars Clathrata, and Greg's Acroberry. All were healthy, happy and very colorful.

Very cool! Which box did you get?

Thanks, I'm pretty happy with how it's coming along!

I actually did one of his preassembled packs, listed for $250. Averages out to $31 per frag which includes the shipping.
