Battling Cyano

Man i really feel for you. I don;t have any solutions, just sympathy...

When I had Cyano the owner of the LFS told me to make sure I killed it all with the first treatment of chemi clean or it may build up resistance and become super cyano. I ran it 24 hours and that got rid of 95% of it. So instead of doing the water change and a second dose, I let it go for an additional 12 hours, and it has never come back. My system is very small though. 32 gallons.
Thanks I might do the chemi clean for last resort.

So I broke down and did the chemi clean. It is gone completely. My protein skimmer is going crazy. It is all water in the cup. There is foam in the sump. But did I say it is gone.

Can you run your cup into a bucket? Turn off your ATO and do that until it calms down, adding fresh saltwater as needed.

2 Weeks later and the tank looks good. All the algae on the rocks is gone. I think I can say I beat it. Hallelujah!!!!! I don't have to pull the tank down and I am starting to enjoy it.
