Battling Dino

So I've decided to fight this dino battle the more semi natural way. I'm going to dirty up the water with nutrients and dosing MicroBacter7. My question is should I be cleaning the glass and sand? No water changes is also in my plan per other recommendations.

Clean the glass for aesthetic reasons, I wouldn’t clean the rest unless you have a low micron filter sock. I’m not sure that dosing microbacter 7 makes sense though.
