I have been dealing with this algae for several months now. I siphon as much as I can when I do water changes (bi-weekly) and the rest I try picking by hand, but it just keeps coming back. My fish won't eat it, nor do my clean up crew which now consist of a bunch of small hermits(blue leg). I have tried some large Mexican turbos but they always get eaten by the hermits. I have been using rowa phos in my system for a few weeks now with no changes. I am running my light (ai prime hd) for 9 hours a day. 6 hours is only blues and 3 hours of whites.

What are your thoughts?

Hermits are little murderers. They will continue to kill off your CUC. I got rid of them. Added nerites, trochus and lots of cerith snails. And a foxface that loves GHA. Now the algae is manageable. So I brush the algae, siphon, change filter socks, stir the sand with a baster thing and do 25% wc once a week.

That's green hair algae. Check out fluconazole as a treatment. Or starve it out. Get a nitrate reactor and maybe a GFO reactor. No nutrients means it'll die off.

Fluconazole though, works wonders.

1- Is fluconazole reef safe?
2- Also when I do a search online for fluconazole, I get nothing that says fluconazole on it. So is fluconazole just an ingredient or the main ingredient?
3- if I were to buy something, what is the name of the product or products that I am looking for that contain fluconazole?
4- Someone recommended a product called Vibrant. Have you ever heard of this or know if it would work for my problem? I was looking at reviews on Amazon and it got really good reviews.
