Accidentally forget to rinse off one of my frags after a Bayer dip then put it in the frag tank. Anyone else do this without ill effects. No fish in tank. Always something! Lol

Without ill effects?? Nope. I've killed off lots of shrimp that way. With Bayer and RPS All Out. I've done it with CoralRX without any problems.

Well the sps polyps are out without looking disturbed. I put some fresh matrix carbon in the AC filter as I didn't have the right bag for Cuprisorb. Thanks everyone.

If it's a frag tank that is not connected to your DT, and there are no inverts in there, you're fine. Bayer goes after inverts. So a little residual in the frag tank shouldn't be a problem. However, as suggested, I'd still run carbon to get it out.

Bayer actually goes after anything with a central nervous system. I had a little slip up and it killed shrimp, pods etc. The fish swam upside down and sideways for a couple hours but they pulled through.

How about bacteria?

Bayer kills shrimps and crabs and most invert.
Happened to me 4 weeks ago. My shrimps and crabs died from it. Tank used to have full of pods right just before the bayer dip and now none.
I rinse the corals a few times after the dipping but there is always residuals left over.

I got enough bayer residue in my tank I killed my pods, shrimp, crabs and everything. That was during a AEFW eradication. I triple rinse now and if I'm dipping a lot of frags I change the rinse water often.

I started rinsing at least 5 times after my slip up

I did the same, rinsed twice and still killed shrimps and pods. I think I'm going to switch to coralrx if it doesn't do that.

I'd do a water change and run some carbon. As long as you have nothing but corals in the tank its not a big deal.
