Curious if anyone has ever dipped any LPS in Bayer Advanced...Chalices, Acans, Euphyllia, anything?
Any info you could give would be appreciated!

Thank you all for the info. I use it on my SPS and use Coral RX or Revive on my LPS but I will definitely give it a try now. I have also used Reef Pests All Out but only on my acros. Too expensive for a common dip.

I've used it on a half dead welso, flesh was falling off and all. It was a rescue for a friend, after the Bayer dip I dipped it in coral Rx and its been doing great ever since. I've also used it on an acro that was brown and covered in red bugs, that colony is red bug free and has great color.

Yes, I've used it in even high concentrations (10ml/cup water) on many LPS. Scoly, leptastrea, goniopora, hammer, frogspawn, chalice, elegance, blasto, I'm sure a few more kinds too :) No problems with any of them.

Just be VERY sure to rinse them well before putting back in the main tank! LPS can slime a lot more than SPS while being dipped, and if that slime with Bayer enters the tank it can kill a lot of inverts very quickly. I usually put them through 2-3 rinses of clean tank water before returning them. A quarantine tank, even temporarily, can be beneficial as you can leave the LPS in there for a hour or however long it takes them to re-expand, to make sure they're free of Bayer before going back to the DT.

Be nice to have a pictorial on using aspirin to dip corals. :) Hint hint!

Not aspirin, Bayer Advanced insecticide :) I use Bayer advanced complete insect killer, though some use Bayer advanced home pest plus germ killer.

I meant insecticide, yea that's it.
