Hi guys, I am looking at buying a bunch of wild colonies of zoas and was wondering if Bayer is the only dip I should use or if I should use others too? I am most worried about the zoa eating nudibranchs and zoa spiders, is the Bayer enough for those or do I need to do a bath in something like flatworm exit as well?

This will be my first adventure buying some wild collected corals. I'm quite excited but want to make sure I am fully prepared for what may arrive on the rock. I plan on setting up a QT tank just for these corals too. That way if there are any nudibranchs I can dip several times to get rid of them.

I have used Bayer and it'll get the job done. However, it won't necessarily kill eggs etc ( I know this to be a fact for montipora eating nudis). So, depending on the incubation cycle of what you're potentially dipping for you might need to do multiple dips over a few days.

I am planning on setting up a qt and observation tank just for these wild colonies. I am also planning on several dips over several days to make sure any eggs that hatch get dealt with.

What I'm wondering is if bayer is all I need? Or would I need a second dip like flatworm exit as well?

In my experience Bayer either stuns, or outright kills everything short of gorilla crabs during treatment. Its a big hammer and the only one I use.
