Is this the right stuff?

Not sure how you plan on using but I have been using 10 ml Bayer to 500 ml of tank water with no issues. Corals are doing well and I have found that it has knocked off some ugly creatures.

Did you dose it in your display tank directly?
Do not do this. I had a few drops of diluted Bayer land in my 50-60 gallon system on accident. 10 minutes later, I had hundreds of dead pods floating around my tank.

No. I have 4 small plastic containers. The first container holds 500 ml of tank water and 10 ml of Bayer. This container I leave the corals in for 2-3 minutes. During that time I rinse with a turkey baster. I then place In remaining 3 containers with just clean tank water in. I place each coral in the containers for 2-3 minutes each time. During this time I also use a turkey baster to blow corals off. I label the rinse containers as A B C. C being the last step which ensured me the corals
are going back in the tank clean. It takes a total of 8-12 minutes to do this. By the time I rinse them in the last container they are nice and clean. I hope you understand.

I’m about to pull a rock out of my DT that has a Sunset Monti attached to it, that is currently being decimated by Nudis. Will this dip kill the eggs and all? And how long should I leave the rock dipped

Hi All,

Just wanted to confirm the 10ML Bayer to 500ML saltwater mix. Can you dip in 3% hydrogen peroxide after that? I heard this is good to knock out any nuisance algae.

Thanks,

I have used Bayer to dip SPS, LPS, Euphyllia, Muchrooms and Zoas. Just make sure to not get any bayer into the tank.

I use double that amount of Bayer with no ill effect. I found these instructions helpful-

We like to use 1.5 milliliter of Bayer for every 1 ounce of water. So for 2.5 gallons of water you’ll need 480 mL of Bayer. This may seem like a lot, but a 1 quart (946 milliliter) bottle of Bayer is only $13 at Home Depot. As compared to Coral Rx at $18 for 8 ounces, Bayer is quite the bargain.
