Does feeding BBS cause hydroids? Last time about a year or so ago I started hatching and feeding BBS to my mixed reef. I then had a bad out break of hydroids. I stopped feeding them due to this outbreak. Now a year later reef seems to be clear of them. I recently purchased a mandarin. I have seeded my tank MANY times with copepods. But just to make sure Id like to feed some BBS. My fear is the hydroids will come back. Does BBS somehow cause hydroids? Are the 2 related somehow? I know its a issue seahorse keepers have, and I rather not have an out break again.

Thanks

So your saying if I have them...feeding would encourage growth....but the eggs dont carry or introduce them specifically.
Correct. I filled a new aquarium 2 weeks ago and haven't put any life in the tank (cycling dry rock in the tank) and I have hydroids on the glass already. No idea where they came from but I've got them!
