Baby Brine Shrimp? Swimming in refugium amongst amphipods - YouTube
Our LFS owner sells live brine shrimp every Tuesday. We used to get it just for our freshwater fish, but now that we have saltwater, naturally, we get them for our reef tank as well. One time, he told us that they WOULD indeed most likely reproduce in our refugium since many of the Brine Shrimp were already pregnant in the bag. Just for fun, we put some in the refugium as well. A few weeks ago, I was staring into our refugium and saw what I thought were at first pods, but they move like brine shrimp... could it be?? Could it be that we REALLY DO have Baby Brine Shrimp in our Refugium?? 9-10 seconds into the video, in the upper quarter of the shot, you can see one of the creatures in question as well as an amphipod hanging out, incase you need something for comparison.
Any thoughts would be great. Thanks!
