I had to tear this tank down last April or so to fix the leak in the rim. It had been running about a year and doing ok not great. So this was a chance for me to change a few things up as well. I finally got around to doing the rockwork over the weekend, snapped some pics and here we are
So here is my silicon job on the rim. I used a few razor blades and removed as much of the black silicon as I could get to between the plastic rim and the glass. Then I applied the silicon all the way around the rim. I had tried to just do the side that leaked with no luck
Here we sit empty
Aqualifter for ATO
Back section you can see my DIY media tower and Lee's air skimmer I did a few mods to
Here I was testing out the skimmer while the rock cycled
Running an Eheim 1048 for the return instead of the MJ1200 I had. So much quieter!

I found another little one at my LFS so he's the only fish in the tank. I made a fence so there won't be anymore jumping. I also removed the lid so I could install 2 cyan bulbs in place of the 2 UV bulbs that burnt out. I have my 4-24" T5 fixture over it for the mean time, and I gotta say I love the color of ATI T5s!
