Be careful when transporting KALK in your car.....

I worked at a fish store once, the owner sold certain white powders... Diatomaceous Earth was used to hide bags of OTHER powders. It wasn't good.

Be careful when transporting KALK in your car and make sure you DON'T use bags like these to do it! No seriously!

you should never use those baggies for kalk..save those to transport Chaeto in :D

Huh?

I've thought of that before. What the heck would happen if I got pulled over. I guess I would get the last laugh. At least they don't taste it any longer

Remind me to tell the story some time about running a reverse daylight schedule on a grow out tank in our warehouse so that a couple thousand watts of halide lighting leaks out under the roll-up door all night.

hahaha... Jon was growing "bio pellets".

This thread is funny, the thread starter is lost ***** stoners chiming in and good old folks lost out of their mind. Lol great.

The thought of someone trying to put kalk up there nose.......

wow....talk about a good time. NOT! I imagine their nose would fall off.

This reminds me of my nosey cat lady neighbor, shes always creeping near my place. I now have LED's and they glow like CRAZY out my blinds (which are destroyed from dogs). Im just waiting for the knock on the door or the letter in the mail...

LOL! Sorry gang. Nothing happened except when I was looking online for ziplock bag pictures that came up and I remembered the time I had to carry around kalk in a baggy and was scared the police would think it was something else. HA!

Opened this thread back so you could scold me. I shouldn't have posted that picture so I removed it.

I SAWWWY!

But seriously have you ever thought about what cops might do? I have actually been scared carrying around bags of Chaeto and Kalk.

I have. Heck we go to people's houses and leave with little baggies. I've not carried kalk in a Baggie though.

Random R2R member: "Do you always carry a baggie of Kalkwasser around?"

Revhtree: "Yeah"

Rev, you are a hardcore reefer.

I m for sure the police would field test the powder and it would test negitive so unless you are really nervous telling the police its kalk they should believe you. I have herd many stories about how cops act first, arrest you first and figure it all out later aka in court. I mean come on if a cop pulls you over and then searches you and finds a bag of white powder, put yours hands behind your back is what you will hear next im for sure. When i travel with any thing that could be considered to look like something illegal just write the name of what it is on the bag the police will be more inclined to believe your story. Its better to be safe then sorry and bailing out of jail.

I can't resist this one, and speaking from experience. One Saturday my wife and I walked out side in the afternoon to make a quick run to the store only to be met by two city police officers. They asked my wife and I if we owned the greenhouse and if they could look inside it I said sure. One told me my next door neighbor suspected we were growing something in there, I told him we were but not what he suspected it was saltwater fish and corals. The two officers and I went to the greenhouse which I opened up for them they looked inside then came out. Then we all had a good laugh and while walking back up front I told one of the cops that they will be getting more calls when my neighbor sees me carrying the bags of baking soda and calcium back to the greenhouse to put in the tanks. What was even funnier was when we did leave for the store and drove around the corner we were surprised to see 4 units answering the call and ready to pounce. We waved to the two officers who came to look. While driving off my wife and I had a good laugh. Must have not been a hot donut or anything else exciting going on in town. This is the first time this has ever happened to us in 30+ years of keeping saltwater.
