So here I sit, It's 10:20am and Fedex hasn't been here to drop off my much anticipated delivery. I placed the order last Wednesday and the Seller informed me then that they would ship Wednesday to arrive Thursday. I haven't received any tracking info despite reaching out to the seller last night and several times this morning...

That's the set-up for what has been an ongoing source of frustration for me. Over the past 2 years I have become increasingly more addicted to this hobby. As I've progressed and my taste has changed, I've found it increasingly more difficult to find the coral I want locally. I've moved to online to fulfill my needs. This is where my frustration comes in.
I've dealt between 20-25 vendors over the past year. Some private sellers but the majority were website based vendors. In these dealings, I've dealt with some phenominal vendors. I would say Battle corals, Calikid corals, Legendary corals, Unique Corals and Cherry Corals are amongst the best. I've also dealt with some pretty bad vendors.
The #1 most frustrating issue has to be poor communication around shipping. Today is another example. Unfortunately I am not independently wealthy. Each order I place requires that I take time off of work to be home to receive my shipment. This can be touchy. I can't tell my boss I need time off to receive a coral shipment.
So here I sit, no communication from the seller confirming my shipment. Pretty sure I'm waisting my time and will likely have to take another day/morning off to receive the shipment at a later date that's more convenient for the seller. If my experience in this matter holds up, the conversation with the seller will go something like " sorry bro, we got super busy and didn't get a chance to send your order out" or some version of that.

My job is what allows me to buy coral and support my interest in this hobby. Forgetting that shows a serious lack of respect for your customers. If you want to be a coral vendor, my biggest recommendation is Be respectful of your customers time! If you do that for me, I will be a loyal customer.

Thank you to those that live this value!

Did it show?

Nope... Unfortunately I got the exact response I was expecting[emoji17]

That is just terrible! I am sorry to hear that you are being treated in that manner. Everyones' time is important and should be respected no matter what! It's such a shame that people are losing respect for others. What they don't recognize and some don't even care, is that they are showing disrespect to him/her self! My word, actions and even non actions are at the core of my soul....I hope and pray that those who don't have this will soon correct themselves. Our society/world would instantaneously become so much better. Again, there are some that care like me...so sorry for your loss of time and income!

My all time favorite vendor is extremecorals. ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS shipped on time with tracking. I've never even needed to send them an email once and I've bought LOTS. I take it for granted coral will arrive flawlessly packed and always on time (day after I place order). Also I love free shipping for $150+.

Good to know...I haven't bought from extreme yet although I've been close. The nice stuff goes FAST!

I literally click on their site the second they update yet still miss out. They update the site prior to the email. I've lucked out a few times. Just bought this Wilsoni from them a couple weeks ago. Love those guys!

Yeah that's one of my biggest pet peeves as well.

I agree completely. I had a fantastic experience with WWC. They were watching the weather and were worried that they wouldn't be able to ship on the promised date (possible hurricane). They reached out to me 4 days prior to shipping and asked if I would like to lock in a different date. Talking about respecting my time! I was very appreciative that they were looking ahead and were very proactive.

That's all you can ask for! True professionals!

Any chance we could get the name of the vendor ptpablo?

Honestly that wasn't the intent of my "rant". They did end up resolving the issue and owning the mistake made. If you're really curious shoot me a PM.
