G'day all. Brand new reefer waiting on my Red Sea 525XL.

I live on a beach in Queensland (Australia) with the great barrier reef just off shore to us (terrible spot I know). Once a month we tend to have a good amount of dead (and live) coral washed up on the beach.

Would this stuff be usable to create aquascapes provided they were sterilised/cleaned etc?

I have attached photos for reference

Cheers!

You could use it but I’d make sure you cure it first to get off any dead organic material. Plus with all those crevices you could get detritus buildup, but nothing that blowing off the rock wouldn’t fix. Good luck!

I would check with your Natural Resources Department, before picking it up. Here in some parts of the States, they don’t care where you got it or what shape it is in, they will fine you. Got enough of it, even put you in jail.
