I am running a bean animal overflow and I have 3 pipes going into my basement sump. What is the best way to hook this up to a reefmat? I am not worried about the emergency overflow but at some point I need the 2 pipes to go into the single line of the reefmat.

I’m using a bean animal and a clarisea. I have my main drain into the clarisea and my secondary just beside it. It filters so well that I actually run the clarisea with the bypass open slightly just to keep some nutrients.
I used to think I needed a hang on filter sock or something under the secondary but I don’t even worry about it anymore.

How about just using both sides of the reefmat? I would need to purchase an extra hose and connector from red sea.

I run a bean and have a Reefmat 500. The amount of water that should be coming out of your secondary drain should be very minimal if any at all. No need to worry about it going thru the Reefmat. If you wanted you could install a tee on your main drain and an elbow from your secondary and connect that to the Reefmat. Again, I just think its not necessary.

That was my first plan since the secondary should not really be flowing tons of water.
