&nbsp;Good afternoon everyone as usual I have a problem. I just installed a Bean Animal overflow in my buddies frag tank. It is built just like the one in the original BA post with the exception of only having 1 ball valve. The 2 main drains are approx. 1" under the&nbsp;water level of the fuge and the emergency drain is sitting just above the water line. I can not seem to get the crazy thing adjusted. If I have it wide open it will fill the overflow box and then drain quickly and keep repeating the cycle. If I turn it down it will drain down and begin a sucking noise. What can I do to fix this problem?<img class="inlineimg" title="Tongue" border="0" alt="" src="https://www.reef2reef.com/forums/images/smilies/cutemoticons/cutemoticons/tongue.png" smilieid="387">&nbsp;

Mine will do that upon startup but just until all the air is forced out and the full siphon kicks in. Make sure your hose on your open channel isn't getting plugged and becoming a siphon.

A single gate/ball valve is all that's needed. What you are experiencing is normal when the valve is too far open. Once you get the "gurgling" sound the water level in the overflow is pretty close to the bottom of the elbow. Close the valve a little at a time, and wait several minutes inbetween adjustments. As mentioned, the air is purging from the siphon channel.

When you get it properly adjusted, the water level in the overflow box should be roughly 1" up the elbow.
