Hi everyone, after years of break, I start with a new project.
The tub will have the same dimensions as the previous one (70x60x50) but this time I opted for one unloaded beananimal.
The Sump will have a cryptic space.
The water that arrives in cryptic then goes into the ascent compartment and qnd is not treated by the skimmer.
Now my question is this:

do you think the water of the cryptic is coming from the primary drain directly or does it mean that from the primary I insert a T or a Y and arrive in cryptic if anything by inserting a valve to moderate the slow flow?

I'm a little confused, I wouldn't want to alter the functionality of the exhaust, considering that the primary exhaust already has a regulating valve to trigger the second hard exhaust.

I await opinions and advice
Thank you all

If you want advice you’re gong to need to be clearer in what you are asking?

ok ca1ore, I am attaching a photo of my sump, to better understand my question. My new tank has a beananimal overflow, While the sump, as you can see from the photo, has a part with live rocks separate from the technical part. Now the question is: which tube can I use to get to live rocks? the primary tube or the durso? or better to use a deviation Y or T from the primary?

sorry but I write from Italy.

ok i try to explain my sump. The sump is separated into two parts: A technical part, here the water that arrives is filtered by the skimmer and arrives in the return pump. In the second part there are live rocks, here the water that comes from the tank passes into the rocks and goes into the return pump My question is with which tube do I get water to the part of the live rocks?

the wall that separates the 2 should have slots in it or is lower at one point were water can flow over so water can flow thru live rocks then back to return pump to tank { water comes from drain in tank goes thru filtering then thru live rock back into compartment were return pump returns it to tank } if set up different how many holes do you have coming from tank to sump 2 or more?
