greetings.

I have a Reef Savvy overflow which is setup for a beananimal.
I understand how I need to plumb it sort of.
My question is what sets the water height in the box and does that depth
have any affect over the DT water depth?
The primary out or the secondary?
I'm trying to determine the lengths of the pipe that go into the elbow.

Primary usually sets the height, secondary follows behind and this is only the height inside the box(set lower than your weir height). The height of the DT is determined by the height you set your weir inside your DT.

thanks. cutting pipe for in the box. waiting for all that fancy colored pipe from BRS for the outside. :D

Ahhh the fancy coloured pipe!! What colour is on the way??

It's been so long since I set mine up I can't recall for sure but my full siphon is a little lower than the open standpipe and is completely submerged. The water is mid way on the horizontal portion of the open standpipe which made me think (erroneously) that it determined the water height.

green for the primary
yellow for the secondary
red for the emergency
black for the return if I hard pipe it.
tank isn't drilled for the return so I might soft tube it.
color differences are so if I'm out of town and my son is house sitting AND there's a tank problem I can just go by colors for explanation.
