Hey everyone my name is Cody and I live out in Southern California. I have been a lurker a while and just recently started to post a bit more on R2R. I love the hobby, am involved with the clubs out here (SCMAS, SCRK, IEMAS – I’m a nut.) , and have a real passion for reef tanks and the animals that we keep. I’ve been in the hobby about 6 years since my first tank that didn’t go so well. Before that, I like planted tanks… and before that as a child we always had live bearers, gold fish, that sort of thing.

My current tank has been set up almost 3 years, and about 1.5 years ago I exchanged the old 4x2x2 tank for the new LeeMar. Right around that same time I had a small crash and most of my corals died but some did make it through. So the last year or so I’ve been building a nice zoa and paly collection with hopes they grow all over.

Tank: 48” x 24” x 24” LeeMar- Eurobraced- 3 Sided Starphire- 120 Gallons- 30 Gallon Sump
Lighting: Maxspect Mazarra LEDs- 4 Modules- Ran on the preprogrammed mode with cloud setting- About 1 year now.
Filtration: ATB 840 v2 Protein Skimmer, Clear FX Pro from Blue Life in socks in the sump, and a large refugium.
Flow: Tunze 6055 x 3; Return Pump: Eheim 1262

A friend came by last night to take some pictures so here they come. Photobucket is being pretty slow today so I can add to the thread and what not. Anyways I’m all open to learn more and take suggestions or critiques so have it I don’t mind. Thanks for taking a look.

Haha Chris don't give them the wrong idea about me!!

I do like to show my pretties tho! ;)

Here's my leopard wrasse macropharyngodon meleagris that started female and is now this. About 3.5 years old. He's my favorite. But is a real jerk and I can't add any more wrasses. Oh and that is the chevron tang kinda see him.

:D don't forget to Lmk how the roids and reef snow works out

Looks great man!

your tank is looking outstanding. how many different z & p do you have?

Thanks for the compliments I'm happy with it so far. Just keeping it easy with the tank and it's working out well for me. Regular water changes occasional dosing, that's about it. I don't plan to add any lps or sps at this point. Um not sure on how many zoas... Maybe 40? Hahaha hurts my wallet thinking about that... I've traded a few lately so that does help.

Great lookin' reef you got there!! Love the leopard wrasse!! Glad you've decided to get involved with this awesome community!! :D
