Bean's 300 Gallon AGE Build

@aquabox Austin I need you! :p Intel on acnastrut or a similar fiberglass or non metal strut system.

Or @melev

Or anyone for that matter LOL

I used a 1/8" blue pvc sheet for the deck. Its strong water proof and easy to clean.

The stand is extended on the back 6" ... leaving plenty of room underneath for the other equipement. Right side the plan is to build an electronics compartment for the controllers and what not.

Dang that's nice and the more pics the better!

Amazing build, any more shots of the plumbing in the sea swirls??

Do you plan on using bare bottom or live sand on bottom?

Did age build the stand as well?

AGE really do make nice tanks. Before I ended up going full acrylic, I had narrowed it down the them and C2C. The lack of cross braces is nice.

Yes, let me muster them up over the weekend.

Looking great! Following!

Thanks!

Bare bottom for now.

Very cool!

Yes they did. I did for warranty purposes.

Looks awesome following

Thanks. Should make for some nice top downs eventually.

For large tanks, I would imagine that the steel framing is nice. Did you do the 2” steel upgrade to avoid cross braces?

Yeah, but I'm not sure it was necessary since the glass is 3/4", and they can build this size in 1/2"

Oh and I have it about 3/4 filled finally so stay tuned.
Look forward to seeing it. I am thinking of going bare on my next tank, just to keep everything scratch free. I have had both glass and acrylic tanks and at some point sand gets caught in something and boom.....scratch

another option for image hosting (and my favorite) is imgur.com. It puts the pics in nice n big and you can sort by album and easily share the album link to other websites. This lets you view the album down the road to quickly and easily see how far you have come and it tells you how many views your stuff has.

Honestly, I don't remember if that was why, or the 3/4 glass. It also helps to hide the water line a little, as well as the lower portion of a sand bad, which I don't have hehe

Thanks, I may try that. Lately I've been using tapatalk for photos and it seems to be much easier for me.

Tapatalk App is best, can follow all the forums and makes life easy

Some plumbing shots. Decided on 2 SS Multiswirls instead of 3. I put the check valves on the return lines but I also drilled the SS outlet elbows. I may have put the check valves too high not sure. Some use them some dont. But the sump is huge and should hold whatever water drains with a pump or power outage.
