Ok....As many of you know, I've been battling prorocentrum, and small cell since the middle of November. I believe I've finally beaten both by dosing silicates. I only saw 1 lonely prorocentrum during todays microscope look. I saw NO small cell. I did see a few - of what I believe to be Ostreopsis. First time seeing these. They were few and far between amongst my many diatoms.....but should I be worried? Should I treat? Or will they always be present. I only saw around 5...in the three samples I pulled. I'm attaching a video of what I believe are two of them.

It does look like a couple of ostreopsis dinos, but there is something different about them.

If only a couple, I wouldn't worry. You are not going to erradicate any of them from the tank... just reduce their numbers and control them.

If you see more, UV will knock ostreopsis out quite quickly. After my small cell amphidinium, i had a bunch of ostreopsis show up... gone in a few days with UV.
