Long story short. My wife moved my 6-7 year old IM 14 peninsula. She didn't level it. 12 hours later I found out when I noticed an odd seam.

The death thread is located here: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/my-wife-moved-my-tank.1016795/
I'm abandoning that thread. The tank is at the curb along with the stand.

New tank is for my mean clown. She's gonna be the only fish.

Mixed reef full of what I already have.

15 gallon IM cube

Custom stand that will be somewhere between a tank stand and bed side table. You will have to follow along on that one.

New tank arrives Friday. I'll also start stand construction Friday.

New tank is here. I set it up on a temporary stand yesterday. I am building a permanent stand but waiting on a day for the paint to cure before I go further on the build. In the interim I need some advice.

I have a new tank, new substrate, and a tub full of 7 year old rocks from the old system.

How confident would you be in calling this insta-cycled by adding Microbacter 7 and Start XLM as additional bacteria sources and adding the old rocks?

I have substantial colonies of digitata, favite, cristata, hammer, candy cane, zoanthid, and a fair sized monti cap. I don't want to lose those, or my mean old clown fish.

I'm happily surprised here. When my tank was damaged, I did not even imagine that this was the next step.

I was able to keep at least part of all of my corals. There is some digi tossed in the back at the bottom. Somewhat of an odd place for it. But I'm convinced digi will grow in an outdoor toilet. So hopefully it makes a nice back wall soon.

Way to come back! Is your wife still a missing person?
No, she slid back in the side door after she knew I wasn't mad at her. I'm trying to talk her into buying me a noopsyche k7 V3 for it.

Just a hair more light than the primehd

I run a K7 V3 Pro on both my IM 15g builds. I also use light shades printed by @Projects with Sam which do a nice job.

I'm glad your bringing it back but the legs on that stand are making me a bit nervous!!!

That said, corals/tank look GREAT!!!
Me too. But just so you know, that stand is glued and screwed with steel brackets on the legs. Tank weight is just shy of 150.

I wouldn't be surprised if you skip the uglies with all the old rock and corals in there.
I really hope that's what happens. This little tank looks so nice right now. I'm bracing myself for the storm of uglies though. Mentally preparing to be discouraged for a bit.

So far it feels like I've cheated the game.

At most, I expect you might have diatoms from the silicates in the new sand. I upgraded from a 90 to a 140, all old rocks, new sand, had diatoms for about 45 days and then they were just gone.
