and I finally have a tank sitting in the living room. Its just a glass box at the moment, but hey, progress not perfection.
It came with a center overflow drilled for 2 1" bulkheads and 1 3/4" inch bulkhead. My plan was to run returns externally and over the top and use the 3 holes for a bean animal - a 1" siphon, a 3/4 open channel and a " emergency. Anybody see any issues with this? Since the open channel does not flow much water I don't anticipate any trouble, but I've never run one before.

i know nothing about plumbing but can't wait to see some start up pics!

Well, I have a ton of plumbing on order, hopefully it will get here by Saturday. I will take some pics once I start building the plumbing.
