Been cycling 6 weeks, nitrites still thru the roof

When did you do the wc?

How's yours going? Seemed like forever but after wc and adding a bottle of bio spira a couple weeks later nitrites dropped out of the blue

just wait. I waited for 2.5 months before adding anything. your nitrates will go down eventually. after 10 weeks. nitrates were down to a acceptable. level and I did a 20 percent water change and brought it down to below 10 ppm. it's just a waiting game at this point. patience is the key with this hobby.

Mine took pretty much 2.5 months as well
