Is there any kind of stuff i need to add to the tank one red sea test kit comes with stuff to add to the tank im trying to add as little chemicals as i can
You should be able to purchase the test kits without the chemicals. If you can't, it's not a bad idea to have those things on hand for later. If you dont use them or dont plan to then you can sell them to a local reefer who will.
edit to say: you wont need to add any additives for a while. That's for when your corals are using up more nutrients than your water changes can replace.
Okay quick question: Do you have any powerheads/wavemakers?
Eventually you may need to start dosing calcium and alkalinity especially if you have a lot of stony corals. However. with 10g waterchanges/week, this shouldn't be for quite a while. What test kits are you getting?
