Beginner Foods, Water Treatments, ect.?

Hi brand new to the forum, thanks in advance for any help.

I am attempting to set up a 32G BioCube in my biology classroom. I reached out to a couple companies to see if anyone would be willing to support me in this project. One company, Central Aquatics (Coralife, Kent Marine, Aqueon, Zilla) has expressed some interest in helping us out. I need to give them a list of products I would want. My top need is definitely salt, but beyond that I am not sure what else to ask for. I will be keeping easy beginner corals only. Is there any food or water treatments, ect. you can think of that I should ask for? Thanks!

A reef test kit would be nice. Kent makes some nice supplements, elements, food , and additives; as well as filter media. Personally I like keeping it simple by only dosing what I test for; so ca, alk, and mg. I would happy if they gave me some salt, a test kit, and some filter media; that would get you off to a good start.

I'm not running with the fuge, but I am running with cheato using the stock basket. I believe @Katrina71 has the fuge in play.

Alot of us like using chemipure and purigen in the basket in the back of the biocubes, I think Kent makes an organic resin that would be comparable. At some point you may have a problem with phosphates, if you do, they also make a phosphate sponge. I like using the resin media vs carbon in a reef, as carbon is known to remove trace elements, while many of the resins at least claim they don't.
