Beginner question about temperature...

Very nice tank by the way I really like your rockwork.your temp looks good for now but as you add corals and critters try and mimic what's best for them as far as temp goes good job on your tank and happy reefing to you.

Thanks!

I listened to a pod cast interview of Sanjay Joshie.where he states his tank in the winter stays about 74 in his basement. Made me feel a little better about my tank being in the 75/76 range in the winter. I do not run a heater since my 2 mag pumps keep the temp up.

My tank runs a little warm....I was thinking I should get some small fans

If that green shaded spot was between 75 and 85, you'd think your temp. was about perfect. I think that's where the common misconception about reef tank temps. comes from. I'd say you're about perfect. If you buy another thermo, it might read 79. These cheap aquarium thermometers just aren't that accurate. Stick it under your tongue and see how close to 98.6 it is.......

got my temp at 76-80F with a chromish in for cycling, doing fine water feels good warm like it would in tropical water, which is what i like, keep heater on at 76F should be fine, by the way thats a nice clean set up what gallon is it?
