What's the best SPS frags to start out with and what are the fastest growers?

Bird's Nest Grow Very Fast and are Very Easy to Keep.

If you are looking for Acros I would get a Bali Green Slimer.

The "green slimer" is another good one. Or any fast growing stag horns, like "Miami orchid". They are fun to start out with, because they are fast growing. And fairly forgiving. Start checking your alk. Every other day, add flow, and stay on water changes...you will be an sps master in no time!!

Any of the birdsnest, montis, stylopora, and most digis. Forrest Fire digi is a good starter. So is purple Stylo.

All grow realitvly fast are are pretty forgiving.

I just started with two birdsnests, a monti and a chalice and they're all doing well.

montipora, birdsnests (seritipora), porites, stylophora, pocillipora are all good easy to keep SPS and all will grow rather quickly under the correct conditions.
I would stay away from Acros until you get a good handle on the easier SPS

Pretty much nailed it above. I would add most of the cultured acros from ORA or places like unique corals, but I would wait a bit to try those unless you get them cheap from a friend or a frag swap since they can be more expensive.

+1 to ORA stuff.

It seems like they only sell "Easy to Keep and Fast Growing Corals"

But if that is the case why don't they sell Zoanthids which would grow much much faster than all the SPS that they Sell.

I have had no luck with digitata..... I have one frag that has almost completely died several times. I'm talking down to 3 polyps!
