Beginning coral questions

The tuxedos are great algae eaters but can quickly eat all the algae in a 20 and starve. Once your tank matures a bit more a tuxedo would be one of my recommendations for an urchin, but you may need to rehome him eventually.
+1 for the nassarius snails, they're meat eaters and will eat fish food that the fish don't eat. I assume they would eat your pellets, but I'm not quite sure.
Turbos are great snails too, they will eat all your green algae and possibly some brown stuff too.
In your tank I would go for 3-5 nassarius snails, a turbo, as well as the snails and hermits you already have

Conch is a pretty good snail to have, fun to watch to always working away in my sand.

Finally got around to snappin a pic of my clown hanging around the clam, some nights she lays on clam right against glass completely still. (Sorry just a bad cell pic).

Ya see I wold much rather have something that I can keep instead of having to rehome it! I'll definitely get some more snails and hermits too! Haha yea that's a bit of a mind twist at first. I believe the algae react to light in a similar way to coral or garden plants. They close up overnight to conserve energy and when the light wakes them up they know they can start photosynthesising for another day

Exactly I'd get too attached to even attempt to rehome something haha. Of course that makes sense stupid algae!

I have that same problem lol. That's the reason I don't own some of the fish if like. I'd have to give them up eventually. It's hard to do.
Yea, algae makes you think your winning the battle and a while later it comes back and ruins your day haha.

Added a torch coral with three heads today! Really wanting to get a fish possibly later today any suggestions? Also the red zoas have four polyps now and 8 for the blue ones. Frogspawn still one head and the candy canes have 4 mouths now!

How many gallons is the tank again? Hard to come by but I love my Tanaka's pygmy wrasse

He was pretty relaxed with my other two clowns! Ya Im stoked they're really doing well and really happy with the torch coral adds a lot of movement. Ya can't find my wrasse right now assuming he's hiding somewhere under the rocks and sand.
