I just recently picked one up and I couldnt find alot of info on its behavior other then bugging a couple I know who has a cute group of them. This is its first night out of the social acclimation box and the lights are off. It buried itself in the back of my rock display and is laying flat. Its breathing, and when I tried to make sure it wasnt stuck, it buried into the sand between the rocks.

Is this normal or should I be worried?

Leave it be, this fish is very timid. I used to have one, but it died because it would not come out to feed, which happened after I added a mystery wrasse. Although it wasn't being harassed by the wrasse, the aggressive feeding behavior of the wrasse scared it so much it would not come out of hiding, so it slowly starved. Also, they're known to swim upside down at times.

I have one in my 28 nano cube. It hangs out behind the rockwork all day. During feeding time, it usually just picks food off of the surface instead of coming to the front of the tank. But it gets plenty of food this way. Definitely a very secretive fish, so smaller tanks are ideal off you only have one.

No hurt in asking. :)

Yes, thank you :)
