My fish eat the "smoke" also. My females will cup up, and stretch out when the males are "blowing smoke".

I said exactly like that,”looks like blowing puffs of smoke” when I first saw it. Yeah fish loved it
Yes, the other one seemed more cupped and extended more… you could see a lot of its foot but it did have stringier white slime coming out too/ different from the“puffs” like the other.
