I have a 20 gallon sump filled with aptasia how long for 4 berghia nudibranch to reproduce and devour it all?! Time will tell!

Id say within a month you should start to see a difference.

I have not seen any berhia since putting them in my sump! Not sure if they are hiding low or if the aptaisa ate them  Will keep posted if I have any spottings. May try to order 10 and put them in the back of the sump where there are less aptaisa if I don't see anything in another week. Also, my sump is lit 24/7 and they are nocturnal... Could be why I havnt seen them.

Hard to say. I had 20 in a 180 that was infested completely and it took them 3 months to clear it.

U wont see them until a lot of aiptasia is gone and then only at night.

Thanks for the reply! Do you think it matters its 24/7 day in my sump? Looks like you had quite the infestation... any resurgence since they cleaned house?

Absolutely since they are nocturnal. They hide within the holes in the rock during light to hide from predators as a natural behavior.

Additionally, they eat the aiptasia from the base so they go after the ones within the rocks first as well, which is another reason you wont see them for quite a while.

+1. They will "dissapear", and you will not see them because they will be on the hunt for aiptasia deep in your rock, the ones you cannot see. Once the aiptasia population starts to die down you may see them on your glass looking for more aiptasia/food. I dropped 5-6 of them in my 150g and still see one from time to time 6 months later, with no visible aiptasia in my tank.
