Ordered one (just to see if it hits the Aiptasia), and it's just a bit larger than the size of a freakin pinhead! I dropped it in, and who knows where it is now.... I dont have an outbreak (I dont think yet) , maybe 4 or 5 over the last year, but they are considerably larger than this 'predator' lol

Wow! Well ok, I guess I have an adult...never figured they were that small. Only because I have had other Nudi's before and they were much larger. I take it these guys will essentially battle the Aiptasia right as they start growing then?

To answer your question, Berghia nudibranchs usually reach maturity when they are 2 months old.

fully grown adults are typically 1 – 1½ inches (2.5 – 3 cm) in length whereas juveniles being sold in aquarium stores range between ¼ – ½ in length (about 1 cm).

Ah ok, this seems to make sense to me now. So if this one survives I should see it again sometime in the next few weeks....at twice the size, or more

Yes and if you get lucky, it can lay up to 50 eggs.

I have only bought them at 1/4”, once in the tank for a week, never seen them again. I don’t have much Aptasia, it’s just a yearly maintenance thing I do so likely they starve.

I’d rather have them in adult stages, just not available in my area.

I cant seem to have success with them, I could never see how fast they grow. I feel like my hermits and shrimp pick them off anyways...

I’ve read/heard that you should have at least three or more as they tend to “swarm” the aptasia. Also, depending on the severity of an apraxia outbreak, you may never notice a dent with just one.

I put four in my 55 on January 26th. So far this is the only one I have seen. Why it is on the glass, when there is 500 aiptasia to eat, I do not know.

Being nocturnal, you'll have to check at night to see what they're up to.

From when I had them they are pack “hunters” ganging up on an anemone and going to town l. I’m not sure how they’ll fair as a solo little guy going at them especially the big mamma jammas.
