So I received 4 today and am intending to breed them.....I was going to put them in my main display untill I could get a 10 set up for them. I am now afraid if I do that I'll never find them again. think they would be okay over night in the jar? I have given them food, which they ate and have replaced some of the transport water. These things are machines!!!

If there are no peppermint or coral banded shrimp in the display I think they'd be okay. Might even breed in there for you if there's sufficient food.

here's a good enough supply, no shrimp. I am looking at them going in a 10gal tomorrow and just don't want to loose them in the mean time

Yah, um, don't put them in the DT. They can squeeze into some Very Small Places.

Not sure what you SHOULD do with them, though.

I am hoping one more night in the jar will do than it's off to get a 10 in the morning :)

You will be very lucky if you can get them out of dt.

LOL, yes I am aware of this..They are in the bottle they came in now, and seem happy enough. I did a small W on the bottle and may do another one tonight. I'll run to petco fist thing in the morning and grab a 10, to split between 4 of them. I want to section it into 2, and grow theaptiasa in a section of my sump. hey are great filtration for a D if you can keep them where you want them. If I can get these guys going I can do that too.

You can have my aiptasia...bleh. These things are driving me INSANE.

I wish the shipping would kill though. I am doing this to keep a good supply going so I'll let you know how well they do. I hear the trick is to buy about 4 and culture them anyway.

Defantly, so far they still semm good. I have changed about 1/3 the water over the course of the day, fed them (they are not shy) and cleaned up what they didn't eat. I'll post a pic before I put the lid back on and put them in the DT, to keep temp.

So went and made an early trip to petco, and got everything needed to set them up. All 4 made it threw the night and I am using tank water from the DT to fill their 10 w/ about 5 gals. Apperently hunger is a motivating factor as they have made their way out of the bottle right after throwing in an aptaisa.

I think this is going to be very rewarding and I'll post some better pics latter after they are all settled in.

And here are those better pics...These little buggers a hard to shoot

I think the adults are actually very pretty. Especially just after they feed. The blue color under blue LEDS is quite beautiful. Actually glows. I wish I could have kept mine but, sadly ,they ran out of food.

I agree I was quite happy to see how good looking they are.....hopefully I'll be able to keep a good supply for them.

Offer a rock-cleaning service XD
No, actually, it's easy. Just scrape them off their rock occasionally. Foot remnants will become new aiptasia.

Oh I am going to use the heck out of them. I am going to seperate a section in my sump for just aiptasia and use them as a filter and harvest them for the nudis. It is really gratifying to scrape them into a tank full of killers :)
