I am looking for some of these, hopefully for cheap if possible. If anybody knows where I can find some I will pay for shipping and willing to trade some zoanthids also.....I have a aptasia problem that is getting out of control and driving me nuts....If any body an help me out it will be much appreciated.....

James

Hey James, I just saw an Ebay auction for some. Let me go see if I can find them again.

:D
Laurie

I saw that eBay auction and I went right to the company that was selling them. I got a deal on shipping that way. So far I haven't seen any reduction of aptasia.....

Oh! Sorry, . Day late and a dollar short, :D . I usually kill mine with boiling water whenever I see them.

P.S. This alien looking like he;s raising the roof with some serious nausea. Like something made him really happy with a hangover.

Ooh, I know of that guy....The place I got them from is called SaltyUnderground.com....Thanks though for the heads up...

I would try half a dozen true peppermint shrimps, if you zap the big ones with kalk paste or some other method, they'll eat the small ones for you....

Cheers Shelton.

has anyone just tried a copperband?

No, but for some reason I just don't like the look of the butterflies. Pain in the butt fish, imo. I've watched my friend Jaime kill 3 of them in her tanks, no idea why. All her params are good, I geven got her to install a fuge for higher bioload carrying capacbility/stability just in case. No luck.

Weird.

Laurie

Lol, Please do not attempt a copper band for the sole purpose of eating aptasia.

Read up on them extensively.
We finally got 1 after 5 years of looking at them and noticing all of the stress markers, and probably fatal, stress markers after reading about them for about 4 hours total.
It ate well at the LFS in that was the only reason I considered taking it home.

Paul B has an excellent write-up on them.
