Hi I just received 10 of them and they are acclimating now. Question is should I put all 10 on same rock or put 5 on one and 5 on another one? I know they say not to spread them out but I was think they meet like 1 there 1 here 1 there?

I'd do same rock. They attack aipstia as a community.

I assume you do have aipstia, right?

Did you get them from reef town?

From the Reeftown FAQ:

The preferred method of introducing Berghia is to place the container on it’s side on a rock (not in the sand) near a bunch of aiptasia, but not on top of one since Aiptasia can eat Berghia, and wedged or weighted down and allow the Berghia to crawl out on their own accord. If you purchased many Berghia, you can wait till about half crawl out then move the container to another location for the remainder. Remember, they are colonial and are best introduced as a colony.

You an either put them on the same rock or split them up, 2 groups of five. They work far far better when they work in groups. I wish I took pictures, but at night I would see 10 to 15 in a group and they would mow down aiptasia.

Nice yew I am going try take pictures. Think I'll just try one group of 10 or put on rock real close to each other thanks

I get mine from Salty Underground as well.

I have a Pintail, but the problem was my Scarlett Skunk cleaner shrimp grew found of them and ate them. I put 20 in the tank and watched him eat several, but a few survived and bred and then I had an explosion berghia. Initially the berghia you are adding now really won't make a dent in your aiptasia, depending on how bad your aiptasia problem is, its when they breed is when you really start to see the aiptasia disappear. Once you start to see then disappear their time is short. I had a very bad problem in my tank, and now it is aiptasia free.

Sweet I got few leopard and a corais wrasse. I had a peppermint shrimp. But took it out. I have tried everything and it just made it worse so I decided to shell out some money to try fix it fingers crossed

I was just checking. If not i could send you some. Free shipping!

But seriously, I am on my second aipstia outbreak. I've used berghia both times. This time, I placed what I think is my final coral order before all the aipstia are gone. My reasoning is that if the new corals have any aipstia they'll still be some berghia around to clean them.

They worked great last time, and the reduction in aipstia is just starting this time. It's a long process. You add the berghia, then nothing at all seems to happen for a couple fo months and you never seen any berghia. Then all of a sudden - boom! The aipstia start disappearing.

I know you didn't by from reeftown, but you should still check out their FAQ. I've found their description of the process to be right on the money.

good luck!
